Clean, simple, warm, functional, work. In love with my twig necklace. Wear it almost everyday.

This is similarly what I wore today on this wonderful lazy saturday to run some errands.
Comfy Cheap Monday skinny, big warm cardigan, brown lipstick and my new shoes - greenish-blue suede brogues from COS, unfortunately I didnt find any picture of them in the world wide web. Does anyone?

Bought some perfume oil for my aromalamp. Vanilla and Cinnamon leaves - theres nothing better than a yummie- smelling room!

Now I light some candles, drink some green tea and enjoy the saturday.

New YearNew HabitsNew Minimalism Prt. 1

from here
New Years Resolution, Part 1
Quite a long time ago i tried to rework my closet and habits concerning buying stuff and wearing.
There was too much stuff, too much unnecessary, ridiculous garments, too much stuff i wanted to but actually never wore because it didn´t fit my body or my personality. (Honestly - compared to some other women i do not own much stuff. many would say, one clothes rail full of stuff and a little ikea sideboard isnt much at all, but i feel it is)
Such posts and blogs like Dead Fleurette, heart in a cage, her ribbons and her bows and out of the bag which i discovered at the end of last year inspired me to think about my habits and to get started. While selecting my clothes I was very hard to myself, but alas there was too much stuff. My usual problem was "I need that! Yes, I didnt wear it since i bought it but hey, thats timeless, time will come!" or "Oookay there´s a hole in this sweater. It looks like rubbish - old, worn out, colourless. It doesnt even fit anymore, hey bellybutton!" But I STILL wore it because I loved how it used to look on me.
I started again, and my plan assumed shape. Now i write down the following rules concerning clothes, shopping and style to control myself and maybe inspire others, too.

1. Stop buying unnecessary clothes
think twice about buying an item or not. It should fulfill the following requirements: Will I wear it at least once a week? Can it be combined with the other clothes i love to wear? Is it timeless? DO I LOVE IT?! If 4 times yes, go home. Sleep about it, and when coming back and still 4 times yes - kachinnnnng and be happy till death do you part. Most importing is to avoid this abnormal desire to just own something.

2. Get rid of stuff
sell, donate or throw away stuff that is
- too trendy and certainly will get out of fashion in the next time
- damaged
- too outworn
- sth. which was bought and never or at least a few times worn.
Make space for good pieces which will make you happy, last a long time and match to the closet. Get rid of ridiculous garments which dont fit your personality and figure. Less is more.
(Most important: be honest to yourself!)

3. Be creative
You dont need a bunch of new stuff twice a month to be dressed. And there is also no situaton like "I HAVE NOOOOOOOOTHING TO WEAHAAAAR". Theres enough, be creative, combine, mix and match. if you follow point 1, there will be a lot of basic and good stuff you can wear everyday without looking boring.

4. Find the personal style
Be inspired, think, have fun, observe your habits, follow a line, but dont overrate the question what you are wearing. At the end its just clothes ...

5. Care for your good garments
Use an iron! Wash with mild detergent, if necessary! Use an iron! Fold them properly or put them neatyly on a coat hook. USE! AN! IRON!

Obviously point 5 is my biggest problem. I hate ironing. I cant fold clothes. I accept looking awful and messy because my jersey shirts and trousers are completely wrinkled. But time has changed - well, I have to change ... an outfit looks way more classy, feminine, and just perfect when the single garments are in the best situation they can be. Well, i try.
